Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Info@scrubadubgrooming.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We offer baths, full grooms, puppy introductions, nail trims, ear cleaning, deshedding treatments, and creative grooming services including accessories and color options.

Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on their breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Regular grooming helps prevent matting, skin issues, and excessive shedding. We will discuss our recommendations at pick up.

A full groom typically includes:

  • Bath and blow dry
  • Brush out
  • Haircut
  • Nail trim
  • Ear cleaning
  • Sanitary trim
  • Teeth brushing

Additional add-ons may be available based on your dog’s needs.

Most appointments take between 2–4 hours depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, behavior, and services requested. We will provide a time estimate at drop off. Please note that we allow extra time for first time clients. We take our time to get to know your dog.

Yes! We love puppies. Puppy appointments are designed to create a positive grooming experience and help your puppy get comfortable with the process. It is good to get them started young.

Yes! Here are some helpful things you can do:

  • Touch your puppy all over their body. Focus on touching paws and their face.
  •  An electric toothbrush sounds and vibrates similar to our clippers. Take the toothbrush and turn it on near your puppy. Bring it closer as long as your puppy stays calm. If they are nervous pull it further away from them. Only bring it closer if they are calm. Do not force it. This will take time and patience.
  • Gently brush your puppy. If you are unsure of the type of brush you need we are happy to help you.

We will work with you as a team to help your puppy get comfortable with grooming.

For the safety of all pets and staff, dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations. We may also request proof of other vaccinations when necessary.

Matting can be uncomfortable and painful for dogs. Severe matting may require a shorter haircut for humane removal. We always prioritize your dog’s comfort and safety.

To help dogs stay calm and focused, we ask owners to return once grooming is complete. We will message you 30 minutes before your pup is ready.

We work with many nervous dogs and always use patience and gentle handling techniques. If your dog has behavioral concerns, please let us know before the appointment so we can plan accordingly.

Please:

  • Walk your dog beforehand for a potty break
  • Arrive on time
  • Let us know about any health or behavior concerns
